Hull Design

Deep V Hull

Our planing boats have a so-called deep-V hull configuration which is exceptionally popular due to their desirable riding and handling characteristics, particularly in rough water. The deadrise, the angle between the hull surface and  horizontal plane,  varies between twenty three and twenty eight degrees depending on the purpose of the vessel.
Additionally Chines provide some flat surface area in the water, which gives our vessels more lift. Therefore our boats  boat draw less water and have greater roll stability and the chines deflect spray.
We also use variable deadrise hulls in our designs, the center section is made with a deep V deadrise angle, then the angle is shallower in the next sections outboard, and shallower still out at the edges. While more expensive to build, variable deadrise hulls with reverse chines and lifting strakes deliver a more aggressive bite when running and turning, plus reduced spray, faster acceleration and superior stability.

Tunnel Hull

Our catamarans offer the advantages of reduced drag which permits them to attain speeds not possible with a monohull and  the option of being equipped with less powerful and therefore less expensive engines. Because of their relatively great length in relation to their width, a catamaran is able to travel at high speed and has excellent lateral stability.
Our vessels are characterized by their simplicity of operation, high stability and relatively high speed- and seakeeping capabilities, particularly in the speed regime of 35 to 45 knots.
