Hybrid Pneumatic Collar

A heavy-duty foam and inflatable core Collar (Hybrid Pneumatic Collar) is fitted around the gunwale, and provides protection when coming alongside.  The collar is designed for applications where the vessel will encounter impacts with sharp objects.  This hybrid collar combines the benefits of a normal inflatable collar with that of a closed cell foam collar.
The collar is made from closed cell polyurethane foam and has a single air chamber on each side each fitted with an isolation and pressure relief valve located at the transom.  The collar is mechanically attached with rope channel extrusions to allow for easy attachment and removal
Internal lifelines are fitted to the collar and multiple rubbing strakes are also fitted to the vessel to provide extra protection.  The upper surface of the collar is finished with a non-slip texture.
