Hurricane ALU 7 Navy
Aluminium diesel RHIB for naval boarding and ship-borne operations
Up to 39 knots, lifted by a single crane hook
The 7 m member of the Hurricane aluminium series: a compact 7.24 m naval RHIB with a marine-grade aluminium hull and superstructure and a Hypalon® collar. A single Volvo Penta D4-260 diesel with Duoprop sterndrive gives up to 39 knots, and around 26 knots cruising at maximum operational load.
The boat is designed to be carried aboard and launched from a naval vessel: an integrated single-point lifting arrangement with forward and aft slings is built into the bow towpost and transom bulwark, and a beaching shoe and lift straps protect the bow.
A forward console with two helm seats is followed by rows of shock-mitigating jockey seats for the boarding team, with an aft A-frame carrying the radar, navigation lights and antennas.
