Overview

Safe crew transfers to the turbine, in all seasons

A fast, sea-kindly crew tender for offshore wind farms: an 11.5 m deep-V RIB with an enclosed cabin for two crew and six technicians, a heavy-duty foam fender all round and an aluminium bow boarding platform for safe step-over transfers at the turbine.

Twin turbocharged Volvo Penta D6 diesels (2 × 228 kW / 310 hp) with Duoprop sterndrives give 34–38 knots, and 1,000 litres of fuel in two stainless steel tanks keep the boat on station for long shifts. A stern frame protects the drives and doubles as a man-overboard recovery platform.

The hull is hand-laid from quadriaxial glass for maximum strength and impact resistance, built to Lloyd’s rules for high-sea rescue and intercept craft and to SOLAS rescue-boat requirements, with CE-A (ocean-going) certification and Dutch commercial approval for vessels under 12 m.
