Hurricane ALU 9 Police
Aluminium police RIB with cabin: outboard, sterndrive or waterjet
Welded aluminium, three propulsion options, room for a stretcher
The first boat of the new TP Marine Hurricane aluminium series: a 9 m (30 ft) quick-response RIB for police operations, with a welded marine-aluminium hull and an aluminium hard-top cabin with Armourglass windows.
The 9 m is available with three propulsion options: twin outboards, a diesel with sterndrive, or a diesel with waterjet. The sterndrive version uses a Volvo Penta Aquamatic D6-350 with Duoprop for 38 knots and carries 485 litres of diesel. The waterjet version uses a Yanmar 6LY2M-STP 440 hp diesel driving a Hamilton 274 waterjet, with hand and foot throttles and a single-lever reverse bucket. A central tow post with a clear 90° arc allows rapid pivoting during towing operations.
The cabin is configured to take a stretchered casualty with storage underneath, and the crew stand on four bolster supports with a large, protected deck work area behind. The cabin can be semi-open or fully enclosed.
