TP Marine launches the Hurricane aluminium series

A new welded-aluminium RIB range from 7 to 15 metres: cabin semi-open or fully enclosed, with an inboard diesel or twin outboards.

TP Marine is launching the Hurricane series: a new range of welded-aluminium rigid inflatable boats from 7 to 15 metres, built for police, coast guard, defence, customs and rescue operators.

Hurricane boats combine a strong marine-grade aluminium hull with a heavy-duty Hypalon collar and an aluminium cabin. The cabin can be semi-open, with a hard top that protects the crew while keeping the deck free for work, or totally enclosed for all-weather operations. Every Hurricane with cabin can be delivered with an inboard diesel or a twin outboard installation.

The series starts with two models. The Hurricane ALU 7 Navy is a 7.24-metre open-console naval RIB with a Volvo Penta D4-260 diesel sterndrive, up to 39 knots and a single-point crane lift for ship-borne operations. The Hurricane ALU 9 Police edition is a 9-metre quick-response RIB available with twin outboards, a diesel sterndrive or a diesel waterjet, such as a Yanmar 440 hp diesel driving a Hamilton waterjet. A rescue and towing edition with twin Suzuki 250 HP outboards reaches 46 knots. It has an aluminium hard top with Armourglass windows, a cabin that takes a stretchered casualty, and a dual-station Simrad navigation package.

As with every TP Marine boat, each Hurricane is built to order and configured to the customer’s mission: length, layout, seating, propulsion, electronics and livery.
